The Oakland University College of Arts and Sciences is comprised of 18 departments devoted to teaching and researching liberal arts, including the humanities, social sciences, visual and performing arts, and mathematical and laboratory sciences.
As the largest academic unit at Oakland University, the College of Arts and Sciences gives students the opportunity to select from more than 100 majors and a wide range of concentrations such as archaeology, biology, criminal justice, environmental studies, international relations, pre-medical studies, social work and urban studies to enhance and complement their primary focus.

- The CAS SMTD Student Opportunity Fund supports undergraduate and graduate students in the School of Music, Theatre, and Dance, to study away or abroad, learn from critically acclaimed performers in master classes or in residence at OU, provide assistance for auditions and assistantships, and create other enrichment experiences. - G & T Gamboa Behavior & Ecology Student Research Endowment Fund provides a spring/summer research stipend to undergraduate or graduate students in the department of Biological Sciences who are pursuing studies in ecology or behavior. The award may be used for tuition, books, living expenses and/or research project costs. CHALLENGE ALERT: If 10 donors support the G & T Gamboa Behavior & Ecology Student Research Endowment Fund today, it will unlock a generous gift from George and Teresa Gamboa in the amount of $2,000!
One OU young alum who makes a gift by 5:00 P.M. will earn an additional $500 in matching funds.
