Oakland University's School of Engineering and Computer Science (SECS) offers instruction leading to degrees at the bachelor's, master's and doctoral levels.
The programs are offered through five departments: Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Industrial and Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Bioengineering.
The SECS, with about 2,300 undergraduate and 743 graduate students, features an outstanding faculty dedicated to preparing learners for the 21st-century workplace and society as well as for research in their fields of specialization. The school offers close student/faculty interaction, small classes and individualized attention.
The SECS also offers Summer STEM camps, dedicated to increasing a love for STEM from an early age (Kindergarten through 12th grade). As the demand for engineers and computer scientists grows, the school aims to engage students with hands-on, fun activities, inspiring them to pursue higher education in STEM.
